Mrs. Heidi Stanek joins St. John's with 19 years of teaching experience, including ten years in the River Valley School District where she taught both kindergarten and third grade. Prior to that, she spent nine years teaching kindergarten, primarily in the Mt. Horeb School District.  Mrs. Stanek has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in elementary education from the University of Wisconsin–Platteville, along with a reading teacher license. She is passionate about inspiring a love of learning in young children.  She looks forward to fostering a positive and engaging learning environment for all students at St. John’s school.  

Outside of the classroom and her school family, you will likely find her spending time with her family.  She and her husband, Justin, love living and working in the River Valley area, and their eight-year-old son, Bodie, keeps them actively involved in many community activities.  They spend lots of time outdoors, stay active with sports and walking and bike rides, love to play games and watch movies together, and make time to be with friends and family.
